Our client seeks to employ the services of a qualified candidate for the position of Payroll Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process monthly invoice billings
- Follow up with clients to ensure prompt payment of invoices
- Prepare staff payroll salaries schedule
- Pro-actively request for inputs needed for monthly payroll from relevant persons and departments
- Prepare statutory deductions schedule and monitor the remittance (PAYE, Pension, and NHF)
- Liaise with staff and Management on payroll related queries
- Respond to audit queries as regard all payroll matters
- Responsible for the calculation and payment of annual vacation allowance
- Analyze and interpret contract review letters from clients
- Prepare salary breakdown and pay-slip
- Supervise the operation of staff Pension Accounts
- Follow up with Pension Fund Administrators/Managers on all pension related issues
- Attend meetings of Service Providers on behalf of the company when necessary
- Computation of employees’ tax liability for payroll purposes
- Ensure effective payroll administration by; assisting new staff with documentation and opening of salary account; maintaining a credible database by adding new staff into the payroll and subtracting exited staff
- Assist the Accounting Department with reconciliation and payment of salaries and taxes.
Key Performance Indicators (K.P.I)
- Timely submission of invoices to clients within the stipulated deadline
- Prompt payment of our invoices due to aggressive follow up by the jobholder
- Remittance of PAYE, Pension, and NHF on or before 12<supth</sup of every month
- Error free computation of monthly payroll
- Regular pay slip and pay advice given to employees
- Quality service delivery by PFAs chosen by employees
- Availability of credible and up-to-date payroll database
- Timely submission of reports
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- First degree or equivalent in any of Management, Science, or Social Science Disciplines
- Strong computer & internet skills
- Minimum of 4 years experience in Payroll computing in a structured organization
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
